I have completed a transcription of the text of the first part of the Très Ancien Coutumier of Normandy as found in the Vatican Library manuscript Ott. Lat. 2964. This has now been published on the project website. This transcription has provided the foundations of the next stage of my work on the text: a new edition and translation of this part of the Très Ancien Coutumier. I am currently devoting my time to the completion of this work.
I have finished, ready for submission for publication, an article on the practice of collusive litigation in the early common law, and have also submitted an entry on ‘Common Law’ for the Routledge Medieval Encyclopedia Online (forthcoming, 2019).
